Finally making its way locally, The Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka Midnight Fog/Total Orange drops today at Sole Academy. The sneaker sports a Total Fog flyknit upper with total orange accents on the dynamic flywire and tongue, while a contrast of white completes the design on the swoosh and lunarlon sole. This looks to be another sure hit for Nike fans and those who’ve been following the flyknit + lunar series closely. Sole Academy will release on a first come, first served basis. Only 1 pair per person is allowed.

#EVENT: Hypebeast x Puma Dim Sum Project Launch

The Hypebeast x Puma Dim Sum Project launch was held last Saturday at sneaker lifestyle shop Sole Academy. They offered two pairs, one ‘Hargao’ and one ‘Siumai’, for free to the winners of the dim sum eating contest.

That’s right. Eat your way to a free pair.

The event started off with a celebrity round with CJ from Magic 89.9, Eri Neeman (Bubble Gang), BTV’s Riki Flores, Automobile & Timepiece tycoon/DJ Jason Soong, and Sole Academy’s Carlo Trillo. First to 10 pieces wins. It came out to a championship round between CJ and Eri where CJ ended up the winner.

The main event was split into two rounds, where Godfrey Cabrera and G3 Ilagan won their respective rounds. Godfrey got the Siumai and G3 got the Hargao.

Great event overall by Puma and Sole Academy! The release was a big success as we’ve received word that all pairs have been sold as of today.

Jordan Melo M9 Game Royal/Bright Citrus

The latest colorway of the Jordan Melo M9 just dropped last week, featured in a Knicks colorway. Game royal dominates the upper with bright citrus accents at the outsole, branding, and laces. Darker shades of blue are seen on the midsole, heel and navy patent leather at the toe box.

Melo has simply been on a tear this season, shooting his way to the NBA’s scoring leader. He’s always been known to be a natural scorer, combining quickness from the outside and power when gets deep into the lane.

In coming up with the design for Melo’s latest signature shoe, Nike took inspiration from Melo’s unique game as well as integrating his love for luxury watches and Superhero suits.

The Melo M9 is packed with special features and advanced technology all working together to help Melo maximize his game. Nike Zoom cushioning provides lightweight support and increased responsiveness while the full-legth TPU cage provides stability and support around the foot. The upper uses Dynamic Fit Technology through straps made with Flywire, in the shape of an M, which runs from the midsole to the laces and gives that ‘locked-in’ feeling without restricting movement.

The Melo M9 retails at P6995 at Titan and Nike Outlets.
